LadyLady Starlight, a performance artist, was introduced to Gaga at this period. Gaga was signed to Streamline Records by Vince Herbert in 2007 following a performance at Lollapalooza Festival 2007. Gaga's debut album from 2008, 'The Fame' received minimal radio coverage. She toured Europe as well as the US to promote the album. But it was not until her 2009 smash 'Just Dance that the mainstream music scene really started to flourish. Gaga was suffering from a labral tear in her right leg that she was nursing for several weeks in order to be able to continue the tour. After performing in Toronto, Gaga was unable walk and was in great pain. She was admitted to the hospital, and her tour was canceled.
